In the land of broken mirrors

it's the land of broken mirrors

shattered glass and scattered ash

they drink the water of their gods

and every promise comes with a catch

.

in the land of broken mirrors

bent smiles and fear of change

each truth is a lie each lie a truth

prayers go up to avoid the shooting range

.

by the land of broken mirrors

we live deep inside ourselves

with orange skies and poisoned lies

we place our baggage on the shelf

.

and when the mirror turns to dust

and memory is all that's left

what words about you

will dance amongst their lips

.

for though these mirrors do not show

the future as it will be

we will not breathe what we create

it is not our future we're preventing from being free

.

but in this land of broken mirrors

the change is coming fast

the sky is on fire, the earth turns too slow

this was never built to last

.

and then there's those, and sometimes me

who see the world as it should be

who embraces the miracle in a smile

the mirror might be broken

we've got nothing to lose

let's go split some hearts wide open
