On the stand
Tell me
If you can
Who is
The one
That has
Already gone
Over to the
Dark side
To live
And to abide
If you would
Not mind
It would
Be so kind

Lady, Lady
Standing before me
Why can you
Not just let me be?
I’ve told you once
I’ve told you several times
All while speaking
In silly rhymes
That I don’t want
To play this silly game
With you anymore
If it’s all the same
There are better things
For me to do
So now why
Don’t you shoo
I’d like to go back to
Gathering mushroom
And reflecting
The room.

There is a Thin Line Between Tears of Sorrow and Tears of Joy
I remember when my mother passed away. After the tears from the initial shock, our family sat in the living room and shared memories. We talked about her love and compassion toward others, the lessons she taught us about honesty, and how she taught us the importance of respecting ourselves and others. Then we started sharing memories that made us smile and eventually, each of us began to relax and tell stories that made us laugh.

What a smart ass mirror! Isn’t it just supposed to tell “you are fairest of them all”? Do your job, mirror! Anyway, I found it very amusing, as you can tell. Great take on an old tale!
