Metamorphosis in its yonder strides in frantic beats

The claim of shedding the old skin belies in the challenge of facing the blazing heat

Life in its amorous swarm stalls the extol of peace and stagnates in the breaths of the certain,

In its majestic flair, fate sweeps the ground below and plonks us into the beds of the uncertain.

The dance of existence draws its entirety from the appraisal of its tomorrow,

In anticipation of its arrival, we foster the rhythm of sorrow.

To be or not to be in joyous tunes, we march in silent whispers under the waters of sleep,

Too scared to live, too sad to embrace death, we dance to the tunes of the promises to keep.

Often told to not be too loud, to keep it covered, the society announces in bold schemes,

To not cry too high, to mellow our pride and to silence our dreams.

Beheld worthy only if we provide our dues,

To not be too prude or sensitive, to follow the laid cues.

Galloping in her lane,

Trying her best to lay my head down, to not be deemed insane.

But when she looked in the mirror, she couldn't see her light

The girl who laughed too hard and cried tears of joy,

Forged to be a pawn of her circumstance in the hours of her plight.

The air of metamorphosis struck in its frantic beats,

As she decided to shine in her authentic light, to outshine the age-old beliefs.

She determined her worth in her inner being, as she clutched her rein

And looked in the face of uncertainty with ferocity in her eyes.

In her majestic flair, she sweeps the ground off their feet,

From the beds of ashes, like a phoenix, she would rise.
