Menopause

The Change of Life

By Cheryl E PrestonPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Hot flashes, anxiety racing pulse

The sweating that comes in the night

It's been so long, I can't remember when

I've been able to sleep till the dawn of morning light

Men are immune

Only females blessed with this curse

Mood swings, irritability, gaining weight

Sagging skin, hard to tell which symptom is worse

The lack of controlling these issues,

The irregularity of not knowing when

They strike at their own choosing

You think it's over and it begins again

No more monthly periods

To this some shout hurray

Others miss their menstrual cycle

At least that is what they say

No more reproduction

Tampons, cramps and pads

Many women are ecstatic

But others truly are sad

fact or fiction
