Men Will Be Men

The Unapologetic Nature of Masculinity

Men will be men, so they say,

It’s a phrase that’s thrown around every day.

Excusing their actions, no matter how bold,

Leaving many women to feel alone and cold.

Boys will be boys, another common phrase,

Used to justify their childish ways.

But as they grow older, it doesn’t seem to change,

Their reckless behavior, often causing pain.

They objectify women, and call it a joke,

Making crude comments, that leave us broke.

But when we speak up, they tell us to calm down,

Their entitlement and privilege, it’s all around.

Men will be men, they say it with pride,

But what about the women, who’ve been pushed aside?

We’re not asking for much, just a little respect,

But they continue to ignore us, with their lack of intellect.

They treat us like objects, like we’re not human,

And when we call them out, they become so presuming.

That we’re overreacting, or we’re just too sensitive,

But the reality is, their actions are offensive.

Men will be men, they claim it’s just fun,

But what about the harm, that they have done?

To the women who’ve been hurt, by their carelessness,

They act like it’s nothing, it’s all just a mess.

They’ve been raised to think, that they can do what they please,

And it’s time we hold them accountable, and bring them to their knees.

They can’t keep hiding, behind their masculinity,

It’s time to change, and bring about equality.

Men will be men, it’s time to break the mold,

And stop justifying, their behavior so bold.

It’s time to listen, to the women’s cries,

And start treating them, with respect and with pride.

We’re all human beings, with feelings and thoughts,

It’s time to stop using gender, as an excuse for our faults.

Men will be men, but they can be better,

It’s time to start treating women, as equal and as treasure.

So let’s break the mold, and start a new way,

Where gender doesn’t define, how we act or what we say.

Men can be more, they can show compassion and care,

It’s time to embrace, a world that’s equal and fair.

Where women aren’t silenced, or made to feel small,

Where men listen, and respond to their call.

Men will be men, but they can change their ways,

And start respecting women, in all of their days.

So let’s stand together, and fight for what’s right,

And never again, let their excuses take flight.

We’re all in this together, and it’s time to unite,

And show the world, that we won’t give up the fight.

Men will be men, but they can be allies,

In the struggle for justice, and the end of lies.

It’s time to break free, from the chains of old,

And create a new world, where we all can be bold.

Together we can make it, if we stand as one,

And show the world, that the battle’s not won.

Men will be men, but they can be better,

It’s time to start treating women, as equal and as treasure.

So let’s work together, and create a new way,

Where respect and equality, is here to stay.

We can break the cycle, and make a new start,

And show the world, that we’re not torn apart.

Men will be men, but they can be allies,

And help us fight, for justice and the end of lies.

It’s time to break free, from the chains of old,

And create a new world, where we all can be bold.

Together we can make it, if we stand as one,

And show the world, that the battle’s not won.

Men will be men, but they can be better,

It’s time to start treating women, as equal and as treasure.

Let’s embrace the future, and leave the past behind,

And create a world, that’s fair and kind.

Where all genders are respected, and all voices heard,

And every person’s worth, is valued like a bird.

So let’s come together, and start a new day,

Where men will be men, in a different way.

Where respect and kindness, are the norm and the trend,

And we all work together, as equals and friends.
