The moon is beautiful,
isn't it?
stop for a moment
throw everything
that's in your hand
and admire it
just a bit.
***
The moon is beautiful,
isn't it?
Yet it would fade away
if the sun's light didn't stay.
It's interesting
I admit.
***
The moon is beautiful,
isn't it?
What if I say
we're not different,
without my sunlight
I could not exist.

The simple yet profound observations about the moon's beauty and its reliance on the sun's light invite the reader to pause, reflect, and appreciate the delicate balance of the natural world. The poetic voice's personal connection to the moon's existence is both thought-provoking and emotionally resonant, leaving the reader with a deeper understanding of the profound beauty and interdependence that surrounds us. Wonderful!
I just love the Japanese culture, so polite, except the ninjas...great poem.
Yes, just looking at the moon reminds us of the good Lord's provision of a luminous miracle in the darkness around the Earth... ... and a few thousand stars of course. π
You've just done it brilliantly. Loved your poem.
Oh wow, I never knew that we could say I love you in those ways in Japanese. But it reminded me of this from Harry Potter: "Mars is the god of war in Roman mythology. So by centaur logic, "Mars is bright tonight" means "War is coming." And they were right? They were off by a few years, but they were right. War did come." Loved your poem so much!
Lovely! I like your explanation at the end!ππππ
Amazing work! You really paint a picture of the moonβs ethereal beauty.
