Who do you think you are?

Excuse me Mister

But who do you think you are?

You pretend you’re something special

Call yourself a Rock Star.

***

You waltzed into my world

And changed it,

You made it more

Then away you flit.

***

You invaded my mind

Invaded my heart,

Took away my pride

Then again we part.

***

You bring me to my knees

And even made me cry,

What more do you want

Why do you deny?

***

I cried for hope

Cried for you,

Cried for the past

You only withdrew.

***

You’d not let me believe

Give me no future,

Lived for today

Could’ve let me know sooner.

***

Mister you can sing

About those glory days,

Love won or lost

Memorable holidays.

***

See how much I care

But Dongara waits for no man,

Of course.........

I’ll meet you there.

About the Creator

Colleen Millsteed

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
