Maybe I do believe the universe holds onto what we need, saves the right person for the right time;

maybe the horoscopes, the readings, the fortunes that told me something, someone was coming spoke some truth.

Maybe meeting, matching, in October once again five years later is a sign,

and I promised I would stop ignoring the signs, pretending I couldn't read as they appeared in the road.

Maybe my world was making space for you, forging reminders of my need to be understood,

and maybe we weren't ready the first time because it was always supposed to be this easy eventually.
