Maybe, Just Maybe
Look at the Good Times
Lately I've been writing about bad times
About love and freedom lost,
It's been about you and me, our relationship
And what that love has cost.
Well maybe, just maybe
I’ve only concentrated on all the bad,
I've been down and helped bring you down
And made everything in our life so sad.
I need to look at some good times
Concentrate on what feels right,
It can’t be bad, all so very bad
Or we’d do nothing more than fight.
But last night I tasted something
That made us feel oh so fine,
It was a little like we used to be
And I remembered why you’re mine.
So hopefully my baby
We can get back what has been,
Maybe we will be just as happy
Just think what that would mean.

About the Creator
Colleen Millsteed
My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
