From The Start
No More to Give
A little baby girl was born
Unwanted from the start,
From that fatal birth day
Her life was forever marked.
She learnt from a very young age
What it was to have to fight,
But things never got any better
Her life was never right.
It didn't take all that long
For her emotions to become confused,
She had so much to give
But her feelings were refused.
She found that day to day life
Was one step forward, five steps back,
And she was forever exhausted
From always being under attack.
Well now she's twenty six
And she has no more to give,
Can't someone help her out
Please, she has no will to live.

About the Creator
Colleen Millsteed
My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
