A man of words, not for deeds
Is like a bird with clipped wings,
A tree without its leaves,
A song that no one sings.
For words alone can only go so far,
They lack the power to truly heal,
To mend a heart or soothe a scar,
Or right the wrongs we feel.
A man of words may speak with ease,
And weave a tapestry of thought,
But it takes more than mere rhetoric to please,
To make a difference as we ought.
For true impact requires action,
A willingness to roll up our sleeves,
To put our words into traction,
And take the steps to achieve.
So let us not be content to merely speak,
But let our actions speak for us instead,
For it's in doing that we truly seek,
To make a difference before we're dead.
For a man of words, not for deeds,
Is like a candle without its flame,
A promise unfulfilled, a dream unseized,
A life that's lived in vain.
