Making up Memory

Reflecting on a situationship or relationship that is clearly not defined

I often lose myself wandering in the long-lost hues of the sky,

I often wander in the dreams of what beyond eternity lies.

Promises of forever entrapped in the beauty of amorous breaths,

Yet the revelation of scars in the vows of love marks its death.

The heavenly entrail of Cupid finally strikes its glorified dart,

In the whispers of the sunstruck match of light and dark,

The words of love pierce the heart.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Longing for endearment that encapsulates the grief-entrenched spirit of thee,

We all yearn for someone who from the torment of pain makes us free.

The essence of a human fosters his existence in the mortal bonds of unity,

To love and be loved, humanity immerses itself in a box of glee.

Yet in the moments of agony, the fateful togetherness of love finds itself alone,

Tearing the morsels of tangling spirits, the love that heals also teaches us to be our own home.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

To love unconditionally is to love thyself in every ounce and piece,

To know that your abode is you, even if someone leaves.

I often lose myself in making up the memories of a lover that his promises of eternal love keep,

Mourning over the realisation that he only reveals himself under the waters of sleep,

Under the waters of sleep!
