Lightning flashes across these magenta skies

A child is born, as another dies.

A mother and father fall to the floor and cry.

As another family, is filled with absolute joy.

Where do we go, why do they go, a mother loses her little boy.

The universe can make, and it can also destroy.

Nurturing the young, so they are high on life

torture the adolescent, till one day they cut with a knife.

In the heavens, the angels gather around, soon to comfort her afterlife.

Lightning flashes across these magenta skies

The teenager's happiness, he hides, all but a guise.

In another world, this girl is her mother's prize.

On the streets, the boy sleeps, a needle by his side.

Is life worth living, is it set in stone, tears of the blue-eyed.

She is capable of all desires, the gleam in her father's eyes, absolute pride.

One wild night, in all her life, the day she dies.

An overdose, to a young man, gives an all-new life, he is baptized.

In the heavens, the angels gather around, they watch as butterflies take flight.

Lightning flashes across these magenta skies.

The thunder rolls, as solitary clouds sigh.

Oh, how the lightning flashes across these magenta skies.
