One quiet after-lunchtime, I beg "Don't go."
as you untangle yourself; we've had the extra
seconds, and then some. Real life hovers
in the background, demanding attention. Your alibi
starts to look unlikely; it's time to get back to the boss.
out the door you go
frowning, you're off
Longing for your return, I clean up our idyll
Out there can stay filthy; in here, that won't do.
Vaguely wondering, a roast or chicken kyiv?
Evening falls before you get home.
