Luck is fickle
Good or bad, changing without warning
Or Reason
Or Conscience
Greatest heights lead to hardest falls
A lucky break, a one-in-a-million chance
We smile and bless our luck.
A moment’s mischance, and we try not to weep
How to we fix what bad luck befell us?
Do not court Lady Luck, for her favour is fleeting
And you may find yourself flirting not with Luck
But with Fickle Dame Fortune
Who delights in a downfall as much as a windfall.
Willing hands, determined heart, ready mind
Rely on yourself, rather than trusting to luck.
