Love

How can one love when they are afraid to fall?

Love is an emotion.

It's infatuation.

It's lasting

Yet fleeting

It's ephemeral

Yet perpetual

It's a human emotion of the highest order

I used to ask myself

If love at first sight would happen

Like the classic vampire saga

Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn't

Or it would come in the form of the Werewolf

Jacob imprinting on Renesmee

That's unrequited love for another

Perhaps like the Twilight song goes

How can one love when they are afraid to fall?

How can one give when they are afraid to take?

In the end, love is about giving and taking

Gifting and receiving

Like the heart beats in our chest

Like the blood flow in our veins

Forever changing

Perpetually floating

Til the end of time
