Out of nothing

There's something

In the infinitesimally vast universe

Lies the Goldilocks Zone

Within the zone, a multitude of

A few million years ago

Saw the inception of Homo Sapiens

Circa two thousand years ago

Was the dawn of Christianity

As time elapsed, technology advanced

Humans adjusted to the modern comfort

Except at this very moment

I looked out the window from my room

And realized everything is on fire

The pandemic, the war, the catasrophe

They all keep waging on

As a gift from the pioneers of state-of-the-art inventions

I turned on my phone and listened to a lullaby

The lyrics comforts me

In the perpetual cycle of humanity

Of Struggles

Of Triumphs

Of the polarizing nature of the two

Like the exhale and inhale of the lungs

One cannot exist without the other

Only when we desperately try to keep all the oxgyen

Do we suffocate

Only when we overindulge in our triumphs

Do we forget our insignificance in the midst of struggles and calamity

As the lullaby comes to end

Even when the music is gone

Everything will be alright

For human existence is both good and bad

Struggles and Triumphs

Yin and Yang

Dusk and Dawn

Their contrast makes us human
