"A Dopefeind Mother"

Dopefeind: Slang meaning, disparaging and offensive. A person addicted to drugs, and feel there's no way out.

In the shadow of dusk, where pain takes flight, A mother's descent, consumed by the night.

In her veins, a poison, a cruel embrace, Crack cocaine's allure, her relentless chase

he sells her body, her soul, her pride, Trading all she has, with nothing to hide.

very possession, no matter how dear, Vanishes swiftly, consumed by her fear.

Two children, innocent, caught in her snare, Their cries unheard in the cold, empty air.

From the dumpster's depths, they scavenge for food,

A mother's love, twisted, misunderstood and cruel

Desperation grips her, in a relentless hold, She whispers to her daughter, tales dark and cold J

i me" pleads, with a hollow gaze, "Embrace this life, in its twisted maze."But the daughter, weary, her spirit worn thin, Seeks an end to the cycle, a way to begin.

In the quiet of night, with a heart filled with ache, She makes her decision, a choice to forsake.

With trembling hands, she takes fate's cruel hand, And in a moment of sorrow, she makes her stand.

For the mother she loves, though lost in the fray, She ends her torment, in a final display.

o souls intertwined, in a tragic ballet, Their story a testament, to the price they pay. In the silence that follows, a haunting refrain, Of a mother's addiction, and a daughter's pain.

There has been addiction in my family, and I want it so badly to end, for this generational curse to be broken. I felt this!
