Love at First Sight
A Poem
Her sapphire eyes, rosy cheeks
My heart beats fast, when our eyes meet
All of my doubt, all of a sudden
It all goes away, like a boy emboldened
To fall in love
To fall for her
To take Cupid's Arrow from above
To shoot for the love chapter
Like Katniss And Peeta in the Hunger Games
Like Bella And Edward in Twilight
Like Tris And Four in Divergent
Like Ginny and Potter in Hogwarts
My heart races like Katniss shooting for her people
My chest pumps like Edward saving Bella
My cheek blushes like Tris falling for Tobias
My soul feels magical like Harry fighting Voldemort
Love at first sight is wondrous
Is mysterious and ephemeral
It's when one fully submits and surrenders
To the vicissitude and unpredictable flow of life
To fully immerse in the absurdity and delicacy of it all
Our lips touch in the mist of uncertainty and fragility
Our souls telepathise like God to Angel at the Pearly Gates
Eventually, love at first sight is cemented through
Time, commitment and more love
