Love Re-Cognition Protocol
As within, so without. As the Universe, so the Soul.
Push and pull
Light and dark
Sun and Moon
Worlds apart
~
Give and take
Hearts are bare
Pain and Joy
Souls aflare
~
Peace of mind
Anxious thoughts
Darkness thrives
Light is not lost
~
Old is learning
Young is wise
Fools are yearning
Sages' eyes
~
Fire and water
We'll hurt each other
Never give up
Love is within her
~
Do not expect
No reason, just give
He understands
It's not easy to live
~
Chaos spawns life
Death is sacred
Fear and anger
Lead to hatred
~
Under pressure
Gems are born
Deep in the earth
Flesh is torn
~
Cosmic acceptance
You're a brilliant star!
Love gives us hope
We've made it this far
~
Even separated
They'll always know
Once the fire is lit
Forever glow
~
She's the Sun-setter
He lives on the Moon
The light they share
Night flowers bloom
~
Love isn't a feeling
It's a cozy place
Where all are welcome
To show their true face
~
How do I get there?
What must I do?
Oh, no requirement...
Just be YOU
~
Patience is the transport
That asks for no fare
Just enjoy the journey
And I'll meet you there.

Author's note:
There was a time in my life that I'm not particularly proud of, but without which I wouldn't be who I am today. I was obsessed with the dual nature of things, the constant clash of opposing forces, and the resulting chaos which can be mistaken for bliss. This poem was inspired by a once-great storm, now passed. These sentiments were shadows from the twilight of my becoming, but which lessons [in Love] are timeless.
There is a certain, underlying dread that permeates through the soul when one resigns to limited perspectives, especially when it comes to defining Love.
Duality has its purpose, and that is for Love to express and experience itself in its totality, harmony, and unity through the reconciliation of polar energies to birth something entirely new.
As we re-cognize and re-member Love within ourselves, we realize (bring into reality) Love with another.
Love isn't this or that.
Love just is.
