Love or lust
The question on my mind
In the depths of passion's flame,
A question lingers, without a name,
Whispered by hearts that intertwine,
Is this love or lust, divine?
Is it a dance of fiery desire,
A fleeting spark, soon to expire?
Or a symphony of souls entwined,
Love's melody, forever defined?
Is it the hunger, primal and raw,
A craving that leaves us wanting more?
Or the tenderness, gentle and kind,
Love's touch, a balm to heal and bind?
Is it the fevered rush of the flesh,
A moment's pleasure, quick and fresh?
Or the steady burn that stands the test,
Love's fire, enduring and blessed?
To know the truth, we must explore,
Within our hearts, the depths and more,
For love, when true, shall always be,
A force that sets our spirits free.
So let us seek, with open eyes,
Embrace the truth, dispel the lies,
And in our hearts, the answer find,
Is this love or lust entwined?
