Love Lost

Whispers of delight, now distant and faint,

In the corridors of remembrance, they sketch,

A love once vibrant, now faded and bleak,

In the remnants of what was, I softly sway.

Raindrops on panes, tears from above,

Mirror the pain in my heart, the farewell,

Time’s harsh caress wipes away your embrace,

Leaving behind memories that sting so deep.

The piano keys that once frolicked with joy,

Now weave a mournful melody for me,

Tones of grief saturate the hollow air,

Reflecting the agony we once did share.

Portraits on the wall, smiles captured in time,

Conceal the void, the infinite divide,

An empty frame, a love now departed,

In this museum of memories, I grieve.

As the sun sinks beyond the horizon's edge,

A darkness descends upon my restless soul,

Lost in the shadows, I seek out the light,

Yearning for your warmth in this eternal night.
