He was the pen, his boyfriend was the highlighter.
He wrote his future, his boyfriend made it brighter.
His courage helped him come out of the closet,
The Reaction that he got was completely opposite.
The Love of his life stood by his side,
On the day that his best friend had died.
His best friend gave her blessing,
That is something that he’d never be forgetting.
The Love of his life has been by his side forever and for always,
Helping him navigate through life’s uncertain maze.
Life is like a roller coaster that kept them on an uncertain track,
That makes you feel like you’re going to crack.
Always stay the course in this ride we call life,
When you do stay the course, life will help you feel so alive.
