All Alone

As time passes me by

I think back to you and me.

Remembering how it fell

Apart from one lie.

You thought being free

Was better than to tell

Your one secret.

Here am I alone

Wishing to see love's eyes.

To me it is known

It is all a disguise.

Promises of forever

It may not last long.

It can be worth the endeavor

For love can make us strong.

My thoughts of you

Diminish each day.

I will go where the strong winds blew

Knowing I'll get lost along the way.
