We danced the night away
without a care of who was watching or the words being said.
Two strangers slowly becoming one.
We got too drunk and too personal,
two ingredients that justified the night so perfect.
Feeling your lips on mine for the first time, a feeling I had long lost.
We exchanged words to one another into the dead of the night,
fearing that our beating hearts would outrun our mouths.
Your smile being the thing that could slow down time.
You dropped the keys only for it to open us up to a night of wonders,
you cursed your pants as I laughed in my comfort.
And there our journey would begin.
you treated me to a cup of coffee,
as I stole your heart.
