Loss of sight

no more truth

Time has flown.

Not now, nor tomorrow.

Speeding - racing through, wanting more to fill the void.

Trading vast for narrow views, empty promises of new.

Missing details while looking ahead.

Chances passed for something next.

An unpromised nothing - all in the fight to prove your worth,

while neglecting beauty sat beside.

Because more is better right?

More must be right.

But more is here.

Forgetful - the battle had been.

Prize obtained, the victory won.

Yet more is more, the cycle ensues.

The fickleness of victory - it's no more new.

No chance to be grateful.

Loss of sight - not seeing the truth.

Always looking ahead while not acknowledging how far you've already come can become poison. A poison that causes blindness to the self and those around you.

Aim to be mindful of yourself. Cultivate this skill then aim to apply it elsewhere in your life.
