Looping

Chalked lines

Looping

Caught giggling, about-turn,

Repeatable quotes, reiterated,

Without any palpable learning.

Or innerstanding, demanding!

Discovered a prompt,

An overload anomalously,

Positioned to dislodge negatives

Subversion, a distinct possibility.

Deadlines, self imposed in chalk,

Fade with the days passengers,

Forgiven for procrastination,

On others behest, best resting.

Hardly visible under scrutiny,

Mixing with other erased marks,

Made upon assurances motive,

Too objective for subjectivity,

It’s ill advice that leads boldly,

To lead Mossing mass!

But surrender to waters passing,

The relief of waiting, placated.

The stream of bubbling buoyant-see,

Acquiesces a distraction, enough,

To pause on the thoughts repetition…

Life’s for living, that’s the result.

All achievements hurdled, won

Or lost, in the circumnavigation

Leave little trace in millennia,

None after 10000 of them. Trick,

Thus, grab the nettles stem,

Traversing with careful mindset,

Not over impulsively energising

A pendulums natural oscillation

As poor timekeeping originates,

In over enthusiasm, a harsher,

Lesson to listen to on the ticking tannoy

Deliberate diversion in the room of waiting.
