Long Lost Love

As I see you across the room

I had let you go years ago

Only to find you again

Before me, you stood

And all I could

Is stand there in disbelief

My shock and awe

As I saw

You across the room

My heart nearly stopped

As my eyes froze

Upon your gaze

My love reborn

Your eyes set upon me

I don’t know if you still felt the same

For my part, it is love set aflame

I hope you are not torn

Has made my journey without you sad

Within myself, I am driven mad

For my awaken heart

Has arisen my anxious love

A torch has been lit

At least I keep my wit

Since I lose my heart

To you always

I fear us growing apart

As we no longer speak

Only with our eyes, do we talk

Not a word has been met

Can time destroy what we had

Or is it still possible

To dream our destinies

Still at hand

For when I saw across the room

I knew we were destined

To be together again

As we met in this room again.
