Whilst Autumn had a warm September.
Vacationing in United Kingdom,
a London adventure to remember.
Perfect planning was behind the wisdom.
****
Travel to Hampton Court and London Eye,
Then, posh tea at the Portrait Restaurant.
Along the river and looking at the sky,
walking to Tate Museum was a jaunt.
****
Accommodations could have been grander.
Walking distance to Paddington Station.
Breakfast in our room we didn't meander.
Eight days, each one was a celebration.
****
Photographs of the trip to remind us.
Going to London was worth all the fuss.
Writer's notes: Thank you for reading! Traveling to London in 2005 was a delightful adventure, the wine tasting before touring Shakespeare's Globe theatre will always be remembered. A brilliant canal boat ride before we visited the London Zoo. We were out and about all eight days from 10 A.M. to 11 P.M. every day. While we do have a number of pictures from the vacation, the photograph above is a favorite. Cheers!

Love this. London and paddington esp will always hold a special place in my heart, and this was a wonderful reminder. And kudos for following the traditional Shakespearean sonnet! —pentameter and all! 🤓
I love sonnets. I actually wrote a few a while back!
