Lockdown Blues
A poem written in the early hours of the morning to express the emotion I was feeling at that very moment about the whole Coronavirus lockdown 2020 situation!

lay in bed unable to sleep,
thoughts in your head getting quite deep,
looking up to the night sky,
trying so hard not to cry,
thinking of happy times you shed a tear,
being alone is your biggest fear,
lockdown starting to rip you apart,
memories that break your heart,
each day missing people more,
can't wait to be out the door,
spending time with family and friends,
excited for when quarantine ends!
