Loss

Lives Unfinished

I needed a place to lay down my thoughts; a place to grieve, a place to heal. I have found that writing in many ways is healing for me, so I write…

As a Mother, I cannot begin to understand the hurt one goes through when they lose a child. A life unfinished; for as parents, we never expect to outlive our children.

However, two of my friends; both very remarkable women have experienced this. They have each lost their eldest sons, and on the same day and within hours of each other.

They have never met yet the pain they are feeling connects them in a way that I; having never lost a child cannot begin to understand…

All I know is that they are both “Lives Unfinished”. Maybe not spiritually; but for all of those who are left behind… trying to find peace in what seems so unfair…
