You saw my head go under water and hoped I’d be brave, when what I knew as my life, became rearranged.

You allowed me to vent, and heard me complain, listened as I cried, and believed I could change.

You knew all too well, there would come better days, so you made me think objectively, before came the praise,

And when I found my head spinning and my thoughts in a haze, you permitted me to rant, and observed when I raved.

A sincere thank you for all the ways, you held my head above water during life’s biggest of waves.
