From green to yellow

From yellow to orange

From orange to red

Leaves, they change

And then become

Food for trees

Which they once lived on

Only to live on

Again and again.

From day to night

From night to day

From winter to spring

From spring to summer

From summer to fall

From fall to winter

We go through the seasons

Over and over

And over again.

From birth to childhood

From childhood to adolescents

From adolescents to adulthood

From adulthood to senior

People, they change

And then they go back

To being born

All over again.

Nothing is permanent

And nothing ever ends

Neither does this poem

Until you’re finished reading it

Again.
