When winter finally hibernates

And the thaw is in the air

Life and death collaborates

Exposing all its snares

Given to the hands of fate

Our luck and unawares

The hands of time will suffocate

Those found waiting unprepared

Left hidden in the dark-lands

Those things daylight will not see

Frozen, immovable hands

With no way to set you free

Memories of a memory

In slow motion, on re-wind

Ghosts reflecting what they see

In the shadows of my mind

Delayed hesitation

as the seed splits through the ground

Relieving desperation

with the bounty it has found

Spring renews a frozen promise

bringing a hope to spread around

New seasons to remind us

that life and death have marked the ground

Spring renews a frozen promise... That line was just something else to me. Beautiful, beautiful writing!

I usually like to pick a standout line, but you have made it impossible! 👏👏👏👏

    This was incredible!

  • This was so good as always. I’m curious did you do an inverse poem??

  • And everything else, as well.
