Life and Death

They go together

To sequester any-day death, any day

One must perforce

Escape everyday life, every day

It is an afterthought to

A foreshadow

To leave any-day death, any day

One must perforce

Capture everyday life, every day

It is a still-life review

A moving-picture presage

To abandon any-day death, any day

One must perforce

Seize everyday life, every day

It is an auspicious portend

A fortunate telling

To relinquish any-day death, any day

One must perforce

Grasp everyday life, every day

To comprehend everyday death, any day

One must perforce

Live any-day life, every day

It is an imperative of the soul

A calling of the spirit

About the Creator

Eugenette Morin

I enjoy short stories with a twist, long stories that meander; little snippets that create poems.

I've been writing for a long time, but it's always been left dormant in a notebook.

So now's the time to see if I should take it out.
