Getting Ahead
A collection of limericks featuring shoes
These shoes helped the young child to stand
So they could go trek all the land
They went very far
With no motorcar
And made their way hat in hand
*****************************
She got up so high on her heels
And sauntered her way with appeal
She danced and she pranced
She was worth a glance
And strolled her style into deals
******************************
These sneakers once were on the go
They really had been in the know
With so much to do
All this time in the zoo
Made him give up their own shadow
*******************************
There once was an old beat-up shoe
Who’d been part of every who’s who
He’d gone up the ladder
All bright and dapper
And ended his time in the poo
About the Creator
Eugenette Morin
I enjoy short stories with a twist, long stories that meander; little snippets that create poems.
I've been writing for a long time, but it's always been left dormant in a notebook.
So now's the time to see if I should take it out.

Damn! This is an excellent commentary in limerick form. Well done!
