Letters of Despair

An Intensely Emotional Abecedarian

By Xine SegalasPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

A single photo is all they want

But held hostage by you in Vermont

Can’t you stop thinking of yourself ?

Deadbeat dearly clearly departed

Emotions crushed by the cold-hearted

Forget ideas of forgiving yourself

God is watching you - all of this

Heaven for you - just an abyss

I can not yet forgive myself

Justice – knowing it doesn’t exist

Knowing the truth, you’re an egoist

Like a narcissist, consumed with self

Many times, he trampled our trust

Never will we fully adjust

Our children put on a shelf

Pushed aside, you can’t be bothered

Quietly ignoring the two, he fathered

Rewriting history propels yourself

Shame on.. Shame on you! Shame on you!

Thoughtlessly you turn the screw

Upon them and upon thyself

Victim, you play the part so well

Well, you can go to a dark hell

X marks the spot

You had him sign

Zero left by your design.
