Dear sweet sweet child,

I’m sorry

Again

I fell for the wrong person once more

I fell for the wrong reasons

I fell even though the red flags were there

I’m sure you fell too

I’m sure you saw the signs before I did

And I’m sure you tried to warn me

But i didn’t listen

I’m sorry

And I don’t know how to make it up to you

The more I fought to keep them

The more I hurt you

The more your heart of glass shattered

You probably hate me now

Because of the things I let happen to us

I let a very important thing get taken from us

I should’ve waited

I let you down

There is no excuse

No justifiable reason

For the things that happened
