Let Me Say It Again

never again!

I cried

slamming the door

will I ever

believe the lies

you told before

I’ll never

give you my heart

or bear to you

my soul

the hardest part

for me

was having to

let

that girl go

never again!

I cried

to the stars

not one more time

will I cover my scars

I’ve come much

too far

to fall so hard

for those lines

I won’t and I can’t

refuse to

take anymore

my boots have been shined

and walking out the door

I’m sorry, my love

if you were

the real deal

the guy

just before you

trashed up all my feels

now

I’ve built up

some walls

that cannot be

breached

life lessons

taught

while warm

tear drops

teach

never again!

I cried

then I dried my eyes

I washed my hands

of this mess

and then, I said

goodbye

to all of the games

and those breaking hearts

promises you told

that

tore my world

apart

so now

I call the shots

and I run the game

now, my love will not

ever be

the same

if given the chance

to fall in love

again

just know I've repeated it....

NEVER AGAIN!
