Release and Relinquish

Let Go

4-21-11

Inspiration;

To give more than you receive,

And put what you’re given to good use.

Creativity;

A portal to a world

Of imagination.

You

Make me wonder all

Day long;

What is living?

Is it simply enough

To be alive?

Or is there

Something, more?

I wait for you to come,

For you to show me the way,

For you to love me,

Inspire me to do the same.

Though inspired,

What do I do now?

Use the power for

Good or for Evil?

Too many questions,

I need more answers.

Inspiration is only the

Humble doorway into a palace.

A grandeur building

Made of my own mind.

Is only the beginning.

There’s more to find.

No need to rhyme,

No need to scheme.

Meter is for those

Who cannot dream.

Break from the illusion

Of conformity.

We are all made to be different.

Though some more than others.

We strive to be our own,

Inspired to live a life;

That is what makes us so afraid

Of death.

Be not afraid,

Do not fret.

Love is here,

To make you forget.

Not the good but rather the bad,

Sticks to our minds and seems

To justify a wall we put up

Brick by red brick; stone by heavy stone

Inspiration is only the beginning.

It doesn’t show the way,

Only the door from

Which you wait.

But I say, ‘Go’,

Do not hesitate.

Do not let you heart stay heavy,

Or the water flood the gate.

Open it all, let it burst free.

Inspiration can lead to wonders

In this world built by you and me.

We can all be free.

Free, free, free.

Echoes in the dark.

Echoes in the light.

Free, free, free.

To be free we must

Let ourselves be;

Must let ourselves flow

In order to know,

That inspiration isn’t the guide,

But merely a string.

At the end is a

Kite on the wind.

You are the kite.

Seemingly supported

By nothing,

Flapping around helplessly.

Now you are the wind

That supports a kite.

Giving inspiration for

The fabric to fly.

Do not wait,

Nor hesitate.

For when the string’s cut,

It is just in time.

You lead your own life

On the breath of the wind.

Letting life flow

Inspired to do the same; I let go.

Inspiration will only go

As far as you let it.

So let it go.

Just let it flow.

If not now,

Then when will you let go?

If not now,

Then when will you be free?
