Watching Glittering, Rippling Leaves Like Waves Or Clouds Or Sand Tracing Spirals of Intricacies

The beloved teaches me to dance

Watching glittering, rippling leaves

Like waves

Or clouds

Or sand

Tracing spirals of intricacies

The friend teaches me to sing

Flashing light and the following shudder

Like a growl

Or a moan

Or a sigh

Echoing back to each other

The father teaches me to work

Evaporate, precipitate, resuscitate

Like seas

Or bugs

Or seeds

Helping the creative cycle rotate

The mother teaches me to care

Finding mysteries in tangled roots

Like moss

Or mud

Or dew

Interdependent, unconfused

The brother teaches me to laugh

With improbable conglomerations

Like bills

Or webs

Or wings

Awkward adaptations

The sister teaches me to write

Through trembles in the sand

Like snakes

Or rain

Or wind

Movement acting captain

The lover teaches me to rest

Banks with a liquid ribbon between

Like hands

Or streams

Or hearts

Peace enough to dream

The partner teaches me to play

Twinned tumbling pebbles

Like taste

Or flight

Or touch

Left hot and disheveled

The child teaches me to cry

Canvases conveying depths

Like joy

Or fear

Or love

Vulnerabilities confessed

The spirit teaches me to pray

Sunlight drifting through abundance

Like snow

Or vines

Or lakes

Mysterious in their allignment

The world teaches me to paint

Ricochets of resplendent color

Like skies

Or plants

Or light

Brief excursions to a distant shore

The universe teaches me to think

Particles spelling, detailing

Like breath

Or math

Or art

Questions most compelling

The stillness teaches me to love

Stalagmites pooling an embrace

Like glass

Or stones

Or trees

Awe-inspiringly showcased

The beloved teaches me to live

Blinding swirl of a sunflare

Like blood

Or dust

Or stars

Dancing a lavish joyful affair
