Kindred Soul, Entwined

A Poem on Eternal Friendship

By Loua NicPublished 10 days ago 1 min read

Two willow branches embracing,

Roots entertwined below the ground.

Friendship's bough shall never break,

Our kindred souls profoundly bound.

The tide may ebb, the tide may flow,

The seasons turn and winds may shift.

Yet stalwart as the mountain's face,

Our spirits' knot no force can rift.

Companions on this earthly trail,

Until our final setting suns.

Two hearts, one path forever twined,

Two lives in harmony's rhythm runs.

Just as the river ceaselessly streams,

Our kindred currents onward glide.

Through shadows of the darkling vale,

My constant friend walks by my side.

Under autumn's kaleidoscope blaze,

Or winter's crystalline snow-draped bough,

Come what may across the years,

Our souls remain entwined as now.

The sun may rise and set its course,

Generations blossom and depart.

Yet friend, our spirits's bond shall hold,

Inseparable from start to start.

Timeless as the continents' drift,

This union of hearts can't be unbound.

Facing each season, high and low,

Our twined embrace is fate's surround

Friendship
