Just a rant…
a poem for release
I didn’t make this world, so why do I feel
Like there’s something I can do to break it.
I’m not sure how to pave a path to success,
But I still think I can make it.
If I do more than I say…
If I don’t waste any hours of the day,
I could find my own way in this world.
Maybe even make a difference.
Focus more on my interests.
Learn about compound interest.
I don’t have time to sleep.
I need to make this paper.
Even when I have a cold,
I just slap some vapor rub on it.
Gotta carry on.
Life is a game of chess.
I can’t be a pawn.
I’ll wake up at the crack of dawn—
Every day.
Just to let my haters know,
I’m here to stay.

I love how relatable this poem is especially in the world that we are currently living in.
This expresses a sense of determination and a belief in personal agency to overcome challenges and make a positive impact in the world, even in the face of obstacles and doubters . I really love this !
This really spoke to me, reminded me of my inner monologue! Success has become such a hot topic I feel like a ruminate on personal development and that kind of thing all the time, I suppose there are worse things to ruminate on but it can become overwhelming can't it. Especially when we're not even letting ourselves rest when sick! Thanks for sharing :)

We're all just pawns in the game of life.. very true. Great and deep poem. Honestly I always feel like I don't have time to do anything, and when I get the time I just waste it doing nothing 😭 (mostly because I want to catch up on sleep or relaxation 🤣)
