I've heard that men are candy

and I’ve got the makings of a hero

While I drink cigarettes with brandy

to pad my fall at your ground zero

When love was new, it did taste sweet

but I failed to save the rations

Now it only reeks of dirty feet

and broken's become the new fashion

Missing teeth and ratty hair

because I mean, who the hell is looking

It's hard to fake trying to care

when the proof has missed the pudding

I'll make my way into a Walmart

stock myself up with something sweet

Baton the walls surrounding my heart

and give myself another treat
