Journey of the mind

Sat alone, with just thoughts and feelings,

How our minds, can be so revealing,

Left alone, just to wonder,

All summer days, and sometimes thunder,

Are you steering, where does it go?

Are you comfortable, to just let it flow?

Or like me, do you have control,

In the direction, that your mind will roll,

Forever trying, to take me around,

Darkened thoughts, and fears profound,

A constant battle, rages this way,

And doesn’t miss, one single day,

I tend to try, to keep my mind busy,

Something that is, not so very easy,

For those dark thoughts, in shadows wait,

Making up, all kinds of hate,

All your fears, and worries they hold,

Even the thought, can turn you cold,

So focusing on, the positives you’ll find,

A better place, for your state of mind,

No matter what, you have to do,

It is your thoughts, that control you,

We manifest, what we focus on,

Always look ahead, not what is gone,

So make those thoughts, with positive energy,

And you’ll live a life, extraordinary.
