When teachers ruled the schools

Children were punished

Knew right from wrong

Suffered consequences

Now literally the inmates run the prison

Gangs ruk

Teacher shortages

Guns everywhere

Chaos no order or structure

Adults were meant to teach and reach

Children should not have their way

Cursing threats racial slurs

Fighting skipping class abusing educators

Because they can

And we’ve lost control

Punishment dunce corner the principals paddle

Christmas and Easter

Bibles in class the pledge to the flag

Boundaries lost no sense of right and wrong

No structure now

Kids cursing adults hurling racial slurs

Because they can they say mom and dad taught them

College is a joke just sell drugs

Like parents and grandparents

Shootings all the time

Death and destruction

Welcome to 2022

It could have been prevented

This was never meant to be

Discipline

We spared the rod

and spoiled a generation
