It God We Seek

Beneath the starry veil of night,

As we gaze into the vast expanse,

We ponder our existence's might,

And yearn for cosmic happenstance.

Amidst the clamor of the day,

As we hustle and we toil,

We seek a balm to light our way,

And find in hope a lifeblood's oil.

Through the tumult of our trials,

Amidst the throes of endless pain,

We pine for an ethereal dial,

A salve for every earthly bane.

For in our hearts, we bear the weight,

Of a power that transcends all thought,

A being, not of earthly estate,

Whose essence into our lives is wrought.

A God whose grace we all beseech,

Whose kindness knows no bounds,

In whom our hearts find endless speech,

And in whose love we're truly found.

So let us raise our voices high,

And offer up our fervent prayer,

For God is with us, nigh,

And His love will keep us in His care.
