Iron Butterfly

Love betrayed

Wings severed

Beauty extinct

Insufferable pain

Overwhelming loss

Loneliness ensues

Marooned in this familiar, sullen chasm

Forsaken

Exorbitantly formidable of old

Beseeching passionately,

he abstain from desecrating her heart

He occupies the totality of it

Vulnerable

Cautioned of her compulsion

Of an unavoidable erection of a confinement

A reprieve

Conversing failed

A butterfly habitually furls

Presently inept

Bequeathed infrangible oath

Till death do us part

Genuine love, profound

Departure proves fatal

Lacking desire to flee

He being her light, earthly savior

Yet the shears

Incisive

Caustic

Consisting of steal

Unbendable

The butterfly mutates, becoming iron

Ensuring steal cannot wound this delicate butterfly further

She perceived him rubber

Devastated, misled

heartbreak
