Introverted Extrovert

A Poem

Almost trapped as the world passes before the eyes of those who remain inside,

Yet there also exists a desire to escape those very confines

As the world passes your eyes,

It causes anxiety inside

You have the power in you to rise,

So rise!

Making plans and cancelling;

There’s so much thinking around it,

Making you so unsure about it

Some nights it’s binging a series,

Eating snacks snug under the covers

And other times,

It’s out with your mates making memories

Keeping thoughts to yourself because you don’t want to bother anyone else,

But also wanting to flaunt your secrets to people that you’re comfortable with

Being comfortable alone,

Knowing that if you ever wanted you could easily pick up the phone
