Nature Poetry

It was inherit

The duty and expectation

A list of tasks

Set forth years before

Etched in stone,

Carved in the earth

Footsteps lost beneath

The growth of years

And destruction,

A semblance of reason

To step away

From the generated plan-

That was born the day

The trees began,

A plan created

To deepen ocean

And provide a home,

To all.

It was inherit,

The respect meant

To be applied

To the land

And the sky,

A devotion to Moon

And all her stars,

To sun

And all his creations.

It was inherit,

The desire to disappear among the weeds

And grow from a crack in the ground,

Where we planted our roots

Deeper and deeper

As years went by.
